Ossoff, Kemp, and Bottoms Hit Final Campaign Stops in Metro Atlanta Monday

Georgia election officials and candidates are preparing for Tuesday's Election Day, with polling locations scheduled to open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters who remain in line at the closing time will be permitted to cast their ballots.

The final day of campaigning on Monday featured a wide range of stops across the state. Senator Jon Ossoff spent the day campaigning in DeKalb County alongside fellow Democrats. Those candidates included Judge Penny Brown Reynolds, who is running for secretary of state, and Tanya Miller, the attorney general candidate.

Ossoff's Republican opponent, U.S. Representative Mike Collins, met with supporters in Atlanta on the same day. Meanwhile, Governor Brian Kemp and Republican candidate Rick Jackson held joint campaign events in seven different cities.

Democratic mayoral candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms conducted four stops as part of the final segment of her "Georgia’s Voice, Georgia’s Vote" tour. These activities marked the last major public appearances for many statewide contenders before polls opened.

Strategic advisor Andrew Aydin of Rock The Vote noted that several statewide constitutional offices may be decided by very small margins. Aydin stated that these races could be determined by just a few hundred votes.

Aydin told voters that this specific election presents a clear scenario where individual participation could alter the outcome. He emphasized that if voters have previously questioned the impact of their ballot, this contest offers a direct opportunity to make a difference.
