Cobb County residents received final campaign appeals on Sunday afternoon as state senators focused on securing votes before Tuesday's Election Day. The push emphasized the immediate need for voters to lock in their ballot strategies.
Sen. Jon Ossoff visited Warner Robins on Sunday afternoon. He then traveled to Douglasville to join Sen. Raphael Warnock for joint campaigning. The two lawmakers told supporters to create specific plans for casting ballots. Campaign workers simultaneously launched a final round of door-to-door visits in the area.
Ossoff addressed a group of volunteers in Warner Robins regarding the election's impact. "Sometimes you don’t know while you’re taking part in history, the magnitude of the moment that you’re living in and the movement that you’re a part of," he said. He added that voters would look back on these final hours with pride. "We’ll be able to look at our kids and our grandkids and know that we did everything in our power to right the ship, to fight for the kind of country and the kind of world where we want to raise our kids," Ossoff said.
Republican challenger Mike Collins is preparing his own final efforts. He will hold a campaign stop in Atlanta on Monday morning. Collins plans to meet supporters at Georgia GOP headquarters at 8 a.m. A media availability is scheduled to follow that meeting.
Campaign officials have not announced additional stop locations for either candidate before polls open Tuesday. No further schedule details were provided by the teams.
