Sen. Jon Ossoff and Rep. Mike Collins spent Monday making their final case to Georgia voters before Tuesday's U.S. Senate election.
Ossoff addressed supporters in DeKalb County on Monday afternoon, describing the contest as a vote on national leadership. He told the crowd, "Let's win these races decisively." Ossoff warned that electing a Republican would weaken oversight in Washington. He cited recent tariffs and health care cuts as examples of policy impacts on families and small businesses.
Collins traveled to multiple locations on Monday to rally his base. He began his day at Georgia Republican Party headquarters in Buckhead. He then visited offices in Columbia County, Savannah, and Macon. Collins stated, "This race is close." He argued that his campaign is gaining ground despite financial disadvantages. He characterized Ossoff as the leader of a social democratic wing of the Democratic Party and said the incumbent has national presidential ambitions.
Financial records show a stark difference in campaign resources. Ossoff reported holding roughly $26 million. Collins collected less than $1 million during the campaign. Recent surveys indicated Ossoff held a lead in the race. State data confirmed that more than 2.8 million Georgia voters cast ballots during the early voting period. This figure broke previous state records for participation.
Both campaigns will monitor results in the Atlanta area as precincts report on Tuesday night. Ossoff will hold a watch party in Atlanta, though his staff has not yet announced the specific venue. Collins plans to watch the returns with supporters at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center.
