Seventeen of the eighteen GHSA fast-pitch softball tournaments ended with the same result on Saturday at the Columbus Softball Complex: the top seed won. Only two schools defended their titles, and both are in Cobb County. Creekview in Class 6A and Sonoraville in Class 3A repeated, making them the only returning champions among the eight crowns handed out.

Harrison opened its title defense with the fastest finish of the day. The Hoyas beat defending champion Buford 15-0, a score that triggered the mercy rule after three innings. It was Harrison's third state title and its first since 2018. The team finished the season 35-2 and beat Lambert, Brookwood, and Northgate to reach the final. Harrison's coach, PVM Northgate, was listed in the source records for the tournament bracket.

Creekview held off a late push from Effingham to win its third straight state title. The 6A final went to extra innings after a 5-11 tie, and Creekview took the extra run 4-5. It marked the first time the school appeared in four consecutive state championship games. Creekview has now won in 2017 and 2026, per the tournament records. The team finished 29-5 and swept its four tournament games.

Sonoraville capped a 30-6 season with a 2-0 win over Westlake in the 3A final. The match went to a ninth inning before Sonoraville closed it out. The team beat Phenix, Mary, and Appleton to reach the final. Sonoraville's coach, Henry Kingsley, was named in the tournament records. West Laurens was the only team to win from the loser's bracket, taking the 4A title with a 6-3 win over Lake Harbor. The game ended in the third extra inning, and West Laurens had not lost a game since 2002.

Cobb County schools won titles in five of the eight classes. In Class 5A, Central Catholic beat Harrison Fife 14-0 to take its first state title since 2017. The team finished 31-7 and swept the tournament. In Class 2A, Bankhead defeated Valley Zone 5-4 in one game to claim its first state title since 2002. The team finished 30-4. In Class A, Tri-County beat Bull Head 6-2 to win its first state title since 2015. The team finished 28-5. In the private division, Christ Church won its first state title since 2012 with a 17-7 win over Mount Pleasant. The team finished 25-9 and won its first tournament game in the state bracket after a double-overtime final.

The state championship games were played at the Columbus Softball Complex on Saturday, November 1, 2026. All eight finals were completed the same day. Seven of the eight champions swept their four tournament games. West Laurens was the only team to advance through the loser's bracket to win a title.
