Connecticut concertgoers have eight major options on the calendar this month.

The biggest draw is Metallica, which will perform at Mohegan Sun Arena on November 19 and 21. The band has not played in the state since 1998. These two shows mark the group's only U.S. tour dates outside of its Las Vegas residency at the Sphere this year. Tickets for the event start at $595.95.

Other headliners appear at smaller venues across the state. Chief Keef will perform at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Waterbury on November 4. The rapper, known for hits like "Love Sosa," has tickets priced from $59.50. On November 7, the folk supergroup Puss in Boots will play at Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk. The group features Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson, and Catherine Popper. Admission for that show is $76.80.

Also on November 7, the bluegrass band Punch Brothers performs at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Led by mandolinist Chris Thile, the group has a ticket minimum of $55. That same evening, emo rockers Hot Mulligan take the stage at College Street Music Hall in New Haven. They are joined by One Step Closer, Riley!, and Wakelee. Tickets for the Hot Mulligan show begin at $53.96.

Comedian John C. Reilly steps into a new role on November 18 at Ridgefield Playhouse. He performs as Mister Romantic in a vaudeville show backed by Grammy-winning musicians. Tickets for his performance start at $100. The month closes with two legacy acts. Connecticut jam band Eggy plays at Toad's Place on Thanksgiving Eve, November 25, with tickets starting at $35.60.

The Temptations, led by original member Otis Williams, perform at the Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino on November 28. The group will sing classic hits such as "My Girl" and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." Tickets for the Motown act start at $84.75.
