28,000 Square Feet: Nordstrom Rack Opens in Midtown

Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. announced on Oct. 20 that a new Nordstrom Rack is opening at Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta. The store spans 28,000 square feet. It will sell apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor, and shoes at prices up to 70% off retail.

Atlantic Station is a lifestyle center managed by Hines. The complex contains more than 500,000 square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment space. Current tenants include IKEA, H&M, Regal, and Sephora.

Nordstrom Rack functions as the off-price division of the parent company. The retailer operates seven other locations in Georgia alongside two full-line Nordstrom stores. Together, these nine sites support more than 700 jobs across the state.

Company officials stated that the discount brand remains the largest source of new customers for Nordstrom, Inc. The new Midtown location expands the company's presence in the Southeast.

Nordstrom did not release specific operating hours or staffing numbers for the new store. Officials from the retailer and Atlantic Station leadership provided the expansion details through a press release.

The store is part of a broader effort to serve local shoppers with convenient order services and access to top fashion brands. The opening adds to the retail mix in the Midtown district.
