Coca-Cola Co. reported $4.31 billion in net revenue for the third quarter on Tuesday, a 7.4% increase from the same period last year. The company simultaneously raised its full-year financial guidance, citing strong performance in international markets despite what executives described as a challenging global environment.
Henrique Braun, the CEO of the Atlanta beverage giant, noted that the operating landscape remains complex. He stated on the earnings call that geopolitical disruptions and rising costs are affecting consumers in various regions. However, Braun said the company’s confidence in its long-term opportunity has not changed.
While global revenue grew, unit case volume in North America stayed flat. The company attributed this stagnation to a calendar shift and product availability problems in the United States. North America generated $1.96 billion in net revenue, up 6.2% year-over-year, but the lack of volume growth signaled a pause in consumer demand for the region.
International markets drove much of the financial progress. Coca-Cola FEMSA in Mexico, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in Europe, and Coca-Cola HBC in Asia all reported high-single-digit growth. The company noted that strong pricing and packaging execution helped offset higher costs in these territories.
In the United States, executives pointed to specific operational hurdles. Michael Thaw, president of Coca-Cola North America, explained that a one-day difference in the number of operating days between this year and last affected the quarter. He noted that the company is now focused on restoring full availability for key brands.
Thaw added that the company is working to address supply constraints for certain products. He stated that the team is confident in the system’s ability to handle the remaining challenges of the year. The goal is to ensure that product shelves are fully stocked as the holiday season approaches.
The company also addressed stock market performance. Coca-Cola shares were up 3.0% on Tuesday, surpassing the S&P 500 index. The stock price has remained flat year-to-date, a result Thaw said reflects the company’s steady underlying value and consistent earnings.
Coca-Cola now expects full-year revenue growth to fall within a range of 5.0% to 6.0%. This guidance accounts for the recent performance and anticipated market conditions. The company plans to release its fourth-quarter results in early January 2027.
