The Gallery at South DeKalb in Decatur, Georgia, hosts a three-day homeownership event Friday, Oct. 30, through Sunday, Nov. 1. The Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, or NACA, runs the program at 2845 Candler Road, Suite A1. The event targets metro Atlanta renters and first-time buyers looking to secure a home loan.
NACA offers its Best in America Mortgage program at the venue. The loan requires no down payment, no closing costs, no fees, and no private mortgage insurance. Borrowers receive a below-market fixed interest rate. The program ignores credit scores. Instead, it evaluates applicants on overall financial readiness and payment history.
Participants complete a four-step qualification process on-site in one day. The first step is attending a homebuyer workshop on program guidelines and financial management. Next, buyers submit required financial records into the member portal. They then meet one-on-one with a HUD-certified housing counselor. Finally, they sit down with a mortgage specialist to secure qualification status.
Organizers said many attendees leave the event qualified to begin house hunting immediately. All NACA services, including counseling and workshops, are free. Prospective buyers can find document checklists and pre-register online through the NACA registration portal.
