Cobb County voters have twelve hours to cast ballots in person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Polling locations will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Cobb County Elections & Registration office confirmed that anyone in line by the 7 p.m. close will be permitted to vote.
Advance voting concluded on October 30. Voters casting a ballot in person on November 3 must visit their specific assigned polling location. This location may differ from the site used in previous elections. Residents are advised to verify their assignment and registration details on Georgia’s My Voter Page. The same platform allows voters to view their sample ballot prior to visiting the polls.
Photo identification is required for in-person voting. Accepted forms include a Georgia driver’s license, even if the card is expired. Voters may bring printed or handwritten sample ballots into the voting area for reference. Electronic devices, including cell phones, are prohibited within the voting area subject to applicable exceptions.
Poll workers will verify voter information upon arrival and provide instructions for the voting machine. Voters will review a printed ballot before inserting it into the scanner to cast their vote. If a mistake is made, a poll worker must be notified before the ballot is cast. Once a ballot is scanned, it cannot be changed.
Absentee ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. A postmark does not satisfy the deadline. Completed ballots can be returned by mail or hand-delivered to the Cobb County Elections Office at 995 Roswell Street NE in Marietta. The office will accept hand-delivered ballots on Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, November 1, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Tuesday, November 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Drop boxes are no longer available.
Voters who requested an absentee ballot but have not returned it can still vote in person on Election Day. They must inform the poll worker at check-in. Unofficial results will be available after polls close. The Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration will certify results at a 3 p.m. meeting on Monday, November 9, which will stream on the CobbTV YouTube channel.
Hand-delivery is the only option for in-person absentee returns, as Election Day polling locations do not accept absentee ballots. The Marietta office remains the sole location for this process. Voters should allow sufficient time for mail delivery if using the postal service.
