The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is offering free coffee to voters at three metro Atlanta locations on Friday, Oct. 30, and Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3. The promotion is part of a civic engagement initiative that pairs the newspaper with local businesses to recognize ballot participation.
Customers who present an official 'I Voted' sticker to staff at participating shops will receive a small complimentary beverage. The drink selection is limited to coffee or another beverage of the customer's choice. Staff will serve the free item while supplies last at each location.
Three shops are part of the offer. Mend Coffee & Goods at 3655 Roswell Road NE, Suite 106, in Atlanta is one location. Portrait Coffee at 1065 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. SW, Unit A, in Atlanta is the second. Opo Coffee at 314 E Howard Ave. in Decatur is the third.
The AJC designed the campaign to provide voters a small perk after casting their ballots. The partnership also aims to drive traffic to independent coffee shops that operate throughout the Atlanta area. The newspaper is encouraging readers to follow its politics coverage and sign up for its Politics P.M. newsletter through its website and app.
Specific details regarding drink sizes and availability may differ from one cafe to another. No purchase is required to claim the free beverage. The AJC invites businesses interested in future collaborations to contact its press team via email.
Voters should bring their stickers to the counter when ordering. The offer is valid only on the two specified dates. The three participating locations are spread across Atlanta and Decatur, providing options for residents in different parts of the metro area.
