Infinite Realities Readies First Comicopia For Tucker Recreation Center

Infinite Realities, the comic and game store in Tucker, will run its first Comicopia convention Nov. 7 and 8 at the Tucker Recreation Center. The store announced the weekend as a full convention built around comic book creators, vendors and a cosplay competition.

The cosplay contest starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. Registration is open to all experience levels, and a panel of local cosplayers will judge the costumes. The winner receives $500 plus a free professional photo shoot of the costume.

Nearly 30 comic creators are slated to attend. The lineup includes June Brigman, who has drawn Power Pack, Captain Ginger and Mary Worth; Guy Dorian, whose credits include Avengers, Spider-Man and The Tick; and Steven Englehart, who has worked on The Avengers, Batman and Doctor Strange. Also listed are Tom Feister, Dan Jurgens, Laura Martin, Al Milgrom and Dexter Vines.

Passes run $30.16 for one day, $52.76 for both days and $86.66 for the VIP package. VIP holders receive convention access, special events, priority entry, two exclusive prints, a t-shirt and two play passes at Infinite Horizons Arcade.

Comicopia follows other programming at Infinite Realities, including a monthly event run with Trans Joy. Details are posted on the store's website.
