President Donald Trump will campaign in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday, October 30. The visit marks a final stop in his midterm tour. He plans to support candidates running for governor and Congress.
The presidential appearance will focus on the Republican gubernatorial race. Trump will endorse Byron Donalds, a current member of the House of Representatives. Donalds faces David Jolly, a Democrat who previously served as a Republican congressman.
Polls show Donalds holding a lead, though the contest remains competitive. This outcome differs from the 2022 election. Governor Ron DeSantis won reelection by nearly 20 points in that cycle.
Trump is also expected to campaign for Senate candidate Ashley Moody. She is seeking a two-year term in a special election. Her opponent is state Representative Angie Nixon. DeSantis appointed Moody to the seat in 2025. This followed Marco Rubio's move to the State Department.
The Daytona Beach area includes the congressional district for Representative Randy Fine. Fine is a freshman member of the House. He took office in April 2025 after winning a special election to replace Mike Waltz, who is now the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
Florida voluntarily redrew its congressional map before these midterms. Republicans currently hold 20 of the state's 28 House seats. The redistricting process may increase that number.
