DeKalb County health inspectors scored Touchdown Wings in Decatur at 49 points on Oct. 23, issuing an unsatisfactory rating. The report lists dirty dishes stored as clean, food discarded into the handwashing sink, and an employee who touched their mouth before working the grill.
Manager Peter Ouyang declined to detail what occurred. "It was one of our employees. He was doing some crazy thing when the inspector came in. That's all I can say. I'm sorry. Thank you very much," Ouyang said. Asked whether the violations had been corrected, Ouyang said, "That's all I can say. We did; we did." Inspectors also photographed violations inside the restaurant. Management did not have the failing report posted on the wall.
Elsewhere this week, Zeus Greek Street Food on Powers Ferry Road in Atlanta received 96 points and an A on a reinspection.
Antique Caffe on Medlock Bridge Road in Johns Creek earned 100 on its most recent health inspection, its third straight top score. The Johns Creek location sells antiques alongside a cafe menu that includes pistachio croissant, cacio e pepe with chicken, broccoli and cheddar soup with bread, cranberry chicken salad croissant with a side salad, and black forest cake.
