Middlesex Lane and Old Floyd Road are fully closed to traffic in Cobb County, according to a list of active closures posted by the county Department of Transportation.
The department retrieved the current status data on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, and published it on its interactive map. The list identifies two complete road closures and six lanes with partial restrictions.
Drivers should avoid Middlesex Lane and Old Floyd Road entirely. For the six roads with lane closures, one or more lanes are restricted, though the roads remain open. Those roads are Canton Road, Davis Road, Due West Road, Holly Springs Road, Lower Roswell Road, and Sandy Plains Road. South Gordon Road is also listed with a lane closure.

The department is divided into several sections, including engineering, traffic operations, planning, airport, transit, and road maintenance. Support services staff assist across all divisions. Engineers from the DOT also provide traffic impact information to the Cobb County Planning Commission and the Board of Commissioners during zoning hearings.
