The Cobb Chamber and the Cobb Community Foundation will host a child care tax credit seminar for business leaders on Monday, November 16. The two-hour session is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on the 10th floor of the Cobb Chamber office at 1100 Circle 75 Parkway in Atlanta.
Organizers say the seminar addresses a major challenge for working parents in Georgia: access to reliable and affordable child care. They note that these issues extend beyond the home and impact workplace recruitment and retention. The program will examine the state’s child care environment and the pressures it places on both families and employers.
Attendees will learn about state and federal tax credits and other resources available to businesses that invest in child care support. The goal is to provide practical guidance for companies looking to help their workforce while strengthening their own operations.
Ideisha Bellamy, CEO of the Georgia Child Care Association, will speak at the event. She will be joined by Kevin Reddick, senior director of tax and tax counsel at The Home Depot, and Rachel Bender, a senior associate at Bennett Thrasher LLP. The three speakers will offer perspectives on how businesses can navigate child care solutions across the state.
Registration is open for the event. Cobb Chamber members may register for free, while non-members pay a $20 ticket fee. Interested parties can sign up at a provided online link or contact Amanda Seals at 770-859-2322 for more information.
